Tunde Skovran was born in Transylvania (Romania). After graduating college at the Babes-Bolyai University/ Theater and Film Department she joined the internationally acclaimed Hungarian State Theater of Cluj where she performed in over 30 productions during a span of 10 years. Her performance in the film “Puzzle” brought her two Best Actress in a Lead Role Awards at the New York Independent Film Festival and at the Buffalo & Niagara International Film Festival. She was also nominated for the Romanian Theater Union Award for Best Actress and won Best Actress Award at the Casablanca International Theater Festival. Tunde made her debut as a film director/producer with “Little Snail”, and the same year she moved to Los Angeles where she currently works and resides. There she initiated and undertook the production of the play “Toys”,written by Saviana Stanescu and “Fefu and her friends” by Maria Irene Fornes. She coproduced the short film Donkey Xote and won Best Film at the 47th Montréal Film Festival 2016.  She also directed the short film “Too deep in the forest”, nominated in 7 different categories at the 2016 edition of the 48 Hour Film Festival in Los Angeles. She is a cofounder and owner of Voxx Studios, a Los Angeles based post-production company.  Tunde is currently developing a TV series and a feature length motion picture to start production in 2017
